HOUSTON (Beach Volleyball) – Morgan Broussard and Madison Brabham took Houston Baptist University and #RV Tulane University to three sets in No. 3 Saturday at Third Coast Volleyball Club. However, Texas A&M University-Kingsville (8-10) fell to the Huskies (10-7) 5-0 and the Green Wave (16-8) 5-0 on day one of the HBU Beach Invitational.
 
VERSUS THE HUSKIES
Broussard and Brabham threatened in No. 3, taking the second set 22-20 to force a decisive third set. The Javelinas fell to the Huskies 5-0 and the win streak was halted at four. In the exhibition, Taliah Phipps and Paige Lanam took the second set 23-21 after HBU escaped the opener with a 21-18 win.

Again, Broussard and Brabham forced a third set after taking set No. 1 24-22. In No. 4, Kat Evans and Maelee Sowa rallied from a 1-0 deficit to take set No. 2 21-19, but fell in the third 15-8.
