KINGSVILLE, Texas (Beach Volleyball) – The good news kept rolling in for Texas A&M University-Kingsville (4-0) as the Javelinas improved to 4-0 with a 3-2 victory over Missouri Baptist (2-2) and 5-0 win against Stevenson University (2-2) on a rainy Saturday afternoon.
 
Haley Hutchinson and 
Maelee Sowa improved to 4-0 in flight No. 4 and 
Madison Brabham and 
Paige Lanam are now 3-0 in No. 5 and 4-0 overall including an exhibition.
 
A switch at the top brought the same results as head coach 
Tanya Allen altered her lineup, placing 
Kat Evans and 
Kadi Shipman in No. 1. The tandem won 21-12, 21-18 versus the Spartans and 21-12, 21-19 against the Mustangs.
 
Brabham and Lanam took No. 5 in the opening match 15-21, 21-7, 15-8, and followed with a 21-9, 21-14 victory in the closing match. In No. 4, Hutchinson and Sowa defeated MBU 21-10, 21-14 and improved to 4-0 with the 21-19, 21-16 W vs. the Stangs.
 
NEXT UP
The Javelinas head to Arizona next week to take on perennial powerhouses University of Arizona, Arizona State University, Grand Canyon University and the University of New Mexico.
