TAMUK will have one preseason tournament before starting Lone Star Conference competition at Angelo State University February 17-18. The Javelinas season opener against Regis slated for an 11 a.m. start. The Rangers began their season at the Lady Chap Invitational where they swept both NorthWestern Oklahoma State (12-1, 7-6) and UT Permian Basin (7-1, 10-1) but fell to Lubbock Christian twice 10-1 and 7-5. Logan Losh is 3-1 in the circle this season with a 3.66 ERA in 19.2 innings pitched and Emily John has a batting average of .348 but ties for a team best two home runs and seven RBI's in 23 at bats.

Day one of the NTSB will end against Colorado Christian at 3 p.m. The Cougars—who also participated in the Lady Chap Invitational—defeated UT Permian Basin 8-7 and 6-0, but split two games against Northwestern Oklahoma State by winning the first game 9-2 and dropping the second 13-5. They have went on to lose two of their last three games in Lubbock, Texas by splitting with Eastern New Mexico (L-0-8, W-11-2) and falling 2-0 to host LCU.

The Hogs will have one game on the 11th against the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers at 1:30 p.m. After winning their season opener 13-5 against Colorado Christian, the Rangers have struggled as they have been outscored 57-15 in the last five games, contributing to their five-game losing streak. The final day of the tournament looks to be the most challenging for the Blue and Gold as they face a pair of currently unbeaten clubs. The game against Lubbock Christian will start promptly at 10 a.m. The Lady Chaps have won all six of their games which were played on their home field.
