SILVER CITY, N.M. (Women's Basketball) – Less than 24 hours ago, Texas A&M University-Kingsville (12-12, 7-11 LSC) learned it will head to the 2017 Lone Star Conference Tournament in Allen next week. The Javelinas clinched the No. 8 seed with the Midwestern State University loss last night, but a chance to end the regular season on a three-game win streak is second to a potential preview of the first round matchup between #RV/18 Eastern New Mexico University (20-5, 16-2 LSC) Saturday in Greyhound Arena at 3 p.m. CT. Prior to visiting Portales, N.M., the Javelinas will take on Western New Mexico University (4-21, 0-18 LSC) on Drag's Court Thursday at 6:30 p.m. CT.

NOTES TO WATCH
The 12 wins are the most since 2009-10 when the Hogs finished 18-10… the Greyhounds are currently in first place and earned at least a share of the LSC crown. The Javelinas will face ENMU or No. 19/24 Angelo State University (20-4, 14-4 LSC) in the first round, Thursday, March 2 at 6 p.m… A&M-Kingsville defeated the Lady Mustangs 71-62 Jan. 21… TAMUK is looking for its first win versus Eastern New Mexico since Feb. 5, 2014 (72-56).

Already clinching a share of the regular season title, the Greyhounds are 10-2 in Portales, N.M. Kassandra Harris leads the club with 11.9 points per game and Mikaehla Connor adds 11.5 per contest. Daeshi McCants (9.5), Brandi Gomez (8.2) and Johna McClelland (7.8) surpass the 7.0 points per game mark. McCants is pulling down a team-high 6.2 rebounds and Harris adds 6.0. Connor is dishing out 3.3 assists per game to lead ENMU.
