KINGSVILLE, Texas – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (15-9, 7-5 LSC) registered its second-highest attack percentage this season in their sweep over Dallas Baptist University (6-13, 5-6 Heartland Conference) before avenging their loss in the conference opener against Eastern New Mexico University (8-14, 5-7 LSC) at the Gil E. Steinke Physical Education Center.Â
In a full day of work, the Javelinas outhit their opponents .330-.138 and had 17 blocks in seven sets.
Krystal Faison paces the team with 30 kills, including 23 against Eastern New Mexico to match her career-high. Â She also finished with a team-high five aces.
Madison Brabham followed with 20 kills,
Lexi Wick had 17, and
Haley Hutchinson accounted for 12 kills and a team-high 11 blocks for 19.5 points.
Casey Klobedans averaged 11.86 assists per set and
Courtney Rabius led the Javs with 28 digs. Â Â

The Blue and Gold finished with a .383 hitting percentage while holding the Patriots to a .038 attack percentage to start the day. Brabham logged 12 kills on 13 swings and added three assists. Wick followed with ten kills and two aces and Hutchinson registered nine kills and a team-high six blocks. Faison led the Javs with four aces and nine blocks and chipped in seven kills.Â

Kingsville dominated Eastern New Mexico, trailing only twice in four sets. As a team, the Javs hit .294 and registered ten total blocks. Faison went nuts, finishing with 23 kills and added another ace to her stat line. Now at 161 career service aces, the senior outside hitter is now four aces away from becoming the new program leader. Brabham had eight kills in the match, Wick recorded seven and four blocks, and both
Kelby Sprinkles and
Shelby Sheets found the floor six times.
Casey Klobedans notched her seventh double-double of the season with 45 assists and 14 digs, while Courtney Klobedans set a career-high of 21 digs in the win.Â
