STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Texas A&M University-Kingsville's (13-9, 6-5 LSC) two-match winning streak comes to a close at the hands of Tarleton State University (18-4, 10-1 LSC), falling in straight sets Tuesday night in Wisdom Gym.
Texas A&M-Kingsville edged the home team 39-38 in digs but was held to a .179 hitting percentage thanks to a stout Texann defense who registered eight total blocks. The Javelinas was led by
Madison Brabham and
Shelby Sheets who each had nine kills in the match.
Lexi Wick had seven kills and
Krystal Faison led the team with two service aces along with two kills.
The Javelinas will have a big weekend with two matches on Friday, October 20 as they host Dallas Baptist at 2 p.m. and Eastern New Mexico at 7 p.m. The weekend will conclude on Saturday against Western New Mexico at 2 p.m.
