STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Volleyball gets some weekday action as Texas A&M University-Kingsville (13-8, 6-4 LSC) travels to No. 1 Tarleton State University (17-4, 9-1 LSC) to start the latter half of the Lone Star Conference schedule. The match will be played at 7 p.m. at Wisdom Gym.Â

The rematch is slated to be another thriller after TSU escaped TAMUK in five sets at the Gil E. Steinke Physical Education Center earlier this season. Tarleton ranks second in the league with a .234 attack percentage, just above Kingsville who is third at .220. The Blue and Gold enter the match after two consecutive wins, while Tarleton State is winners of ten straight matches. Madison Brabham has tormented the opposition with 65 kills and a .423 hitting percentage over the span of four matches. Overall this season, Brabham is two kills shy of 200 and leads the team with 2.61 kills per set and has 40 total blocks.
Krystal Faison is the team leader with 206 kills and 28 aces, while
Lexi Wick rounds out the top three hitters with 192 kills. Wick is second on the team with 70 blocks and 21 aces. Junior
Haley Hutchinson anchors the defense with 75 blocks and has 132 kills this year.
Gabby Atchley and
Shelby Sheets also have over 100 kills, sitting at 112 and 103, respectively. Â Â

Tarleton State is led by Hailey Roberts who also leads the LSC with 322 kills, 4.54 kills per set, and 5.04 points per set. Adriana Darthuy follows her lead with 225 kills, Amber Strange has 129 kills, and Hannah McManus has turned in 118 kills in 2017. Strange edges McManus by one block at 73 to lead the team and setter Jordyn Keamo directs the offense 8.84 assists per set and a team-high 29 aces.Â
