WICHITA FALLS, Texas (Softball) – Win and get in. That is the goal this weekend as Texas A&M-University-Kingsville (21-30, 10-18 LSC) concludes the regular season at Midwestern State University (26-26, 11-17 LSC) with the sixth and final Lone Star Conference Tournament seed on the line April 22-23 at Mustangs Park.

Friday's doubleheader will be at 4 and 6 p.m. and Saturday's double dip begins at 1 p.m.

The LSC Tournament will take place April 29-30 in Canyon, Texas with the No. 1 (West Texas A&M University) and No. 2 seeds receiving an automatic bye week. The No. 3 and No. 6 seeds will play as well as the No. 4 and No. 5 seeds on Friday, April 29. Immediately following those single-game elimination matchups, the winner of No. 3 vs. No. 6 will play the No. 2 seed and the winner of No. 4 vs. No. 5 will play West Texas A&M who just won its third consecutive LSC Title.

About the Javelinas
The Javelinas are fresh off of a 3-1 series win against Tarleton State that featured two extra-inning contests and back-to-back walk-off victories for TAMUK.
Roxy Chapa led the way, going 11-for-15 in the series with 11 RBI, five runs, five doubles and a home run. For her efforts, the freshman backstop was named LSC Hitter of the Week for the first time in her career. For the season, Chapa bats .335 and is currently on a seven-game hitting streak and a nine-game reached base streak. The freshman leads the club with 55 hits, 52 RBI, 16 doubles and 10 home runs, just one away from tying the single season school mark.

Rachael Longoria leads the Javelinas with a .338 batting average. The Hutto, Texas native has tallied 54 hits, 31 RBI and four home runs.
Victoria Schoonard-Saborio is batting .331 with 13 doubles and six home runs. Sophomore
Haley Boyett (.308) has a team high 41 runs and 20 stolen bases, placing her in the top 10 in the conference. Boyett also has 14 multiple hit games this season.

Karri Smith (6-11) has tossed 10 complete games this season and a total of 119.1 innings.
Carlie Clark is 9-10 on the rubber with 75 punchouts in 92.1 innings.

About the Mustangs
Midwestern State University is 11-17 in LSC play and 6-8 at home. The Mustangs are currently on a three-game losing streak after falling to Cameron with a combined score of 15-4.

Katelyn Vinson leads MSU with a .428 batting average, 49 RBI and 12 home runs. Erin Knox (.391) is the clubs leader with 14 doubles this season and she adds 44 RBI and 10 home runs. In 188 at bats, Haley Howerton (.388) has a team high of 73 hits, 46 runs and 20 stolen bases. Baylee Voigt rounds out Midwestern's .300 batters with a .309 batting average and 35 RBI.

Makenzi Harris is 8-6 in the circle with a 4.33 ERA, while Peyton Helton (8-9) has 86 strikeouts in 117.1 innings. Erin Knox rounds out the rotation with an 8-7 record. Knox has 10 complete games this season with 61 strikeouts in 96 innings.
