SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Softball) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (10-15) travels towards the Alamo March 16
th to play a two-game series against No. T9 St. Mary's University (21-5) at Rattlers Softball Stadium beginning at 4 p.m.
The Rattlers are currently winners of 13 consecutive games.
The Javelinas are coming off of a two-game sweep of Oklahoma Christian University, a team that is also undefeated in the Heartland Conference.
Victoria Schoonard-Saborio leads TAMUK with a .309 batting average and has reached base in 14 consecutive games.
Roxy Chapa bats .304 at the plate this season with 20 RBI and a team-high four home runs, including a game tying two run home run in game two Monday.

Carlie Clark is 4-4 and has team-high 44 strikeouts this season.
Sarah Gilbert has a 3.38 ERA in 2016 and
Karri Smith has a 3.40 ERA.
The Rattlers features three hitters over the .400 clip and five hitting over .300. Hannah Michel leads the team with a .489 batting average with 92 appearances at the plate. Sydney Wellman leads St. Mary's with 12 HR, 44 RBI, and a .443 batting average.
The pitching staff for StMU have been stout this season as all pitchers have a winning record. Hope Russell is 6-1 record with an ERA of 2.58 and 17 strikeouts in 43.1 innings pitched. Ashley Mills has tossed a team high 47 innings and has retired 34 batters via punchout. Mills is 5-0 this season and has a 2.98 ERA. Jordan Russell follows Mills with 32 strikeouts and is 7-3 in the circle this season.
