KINGSVILLE, Texas (Softball) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (6-13, 0-8 LSC) returns to Vernie and Blanche Hubert Field for six games in three days, beginning with Lone Star Conference foe #RV Cameron University (18-7, 3-1 LSC). The Javelinas host the Aggies in a doubleheader March 12 at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. and double dip Sunday with first pitch slated for 1 p.m. in game one and 3 p.m. in the series finale. The following day, Texas A&M-Kingsville hosts Oklahoma Christian University (11-11, 6-0 Heartland).
Saturday's game is CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Kleberg Strikeout Cancer Day and the first 200 fans in attendance will receive a pink water bottle in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.

Roxy Chapa lead the Javelinas with a .328 batting average. Chapa has currently reached base safely in 19 consecutive games and Boyett has a 17-game reached base safely streak. Chapa is hitting .395 with runners on base, Boyett is at a .357 clip, and
Rachael Longoria is batting .343 with runners on.

Victoria Schoonard-Saborio has two home runs, 11 RBIs, and leads the team with .514 on-base percentage. On the basepaths, Boyett has successfully swiped ten bags, tied for ninth most in the Lone Star Conference.Â

Sarah Gilbert is 2-4 in the circle and boasts a team best 3.35 ERA. Schoonard-Saborio has been hit by a pitch five times, tied for third in the Lone Star Conference, and tied for eighth with 15 walks.Â

Scouting the AggiesThe Aggies jump back into conference play after splitting a doubleheader with the University of Central Oklahoma to start the month of March. Prior to that, the Aggies won 3-of-4 verus Texas A&M University-Commerce in Lawton, Okla.

Senior Sonora Zukerman leads the Aggies with a .434 batting average and bats .467 with runners on base. When leading off, her batting average improves to .588. Breezy McComas follows Zukerman with a .409 batting average and holds a .447 clip with runners on. Both Zukerman and McComas have six home runs this season, tied for third most in the LSC.

In the circle, Zukerman has compiled a 5-2 record with a team-low 2.37 ERA. Emily Wasinger has an 8-1 record with 44 strikeouts and a 2.81 ERA and the tandem are among the conference's best in ERA and strikeouts.

Scouting the EaglesNiki Davidson leads the team in hitting with a .433 batting average. Haley Squier has a .424 batting average, five doubles, 17 RBI and has only struck out twice in 59 at bats. As a team, the Eagles are hitting .311 with six hitters over the .300 clip.
