Troy Jones leads Texas A&M University-Kingsville (9-10, 1-7 LSC) in a home Lone Star Conference matchup versus West Texas A&M University (18-7, 6-3 LSC) Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. at the Gil E. Steinke Physical Education Center-Kingsville Hampton Inn Court.
Jones went 12-21 and pulled down 12 offensive rebounds in the 74-71 loss at Eastern New Mexico University. The Javelinas are in a string of tough luck with back-to-back 74-71 losses.
David Chavolich leads the Buffs in scoring with 19.9 points per game and 3.4 assists and Jordan Evans is averaging 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 0.7 steals. WT sits tied with Cameron University atop the LSC standings with a 6-3 mark. With a win, the Javelinas tie Eastern New Mexico for seventh place in the conference.
Jones leads the Hogs with 12.5 points and 7.8 rebounds.
DJ Weathers registers 11.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists and
Jamar Goodwin boasts averages of 9.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals.
