KINGSVILLE, Texas (Men's Basketball) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (11-13, 3-10 LSC) closes the book on the 2015-16 regular season Saturday as the Javelinas host No. 15/22 Angelo State University (20-5, 8-5 LSC) at 7:30 p.m. on EmbroidMe and Senior Night at the Gil E. Steinke Physical Education Center-Kingsville Hampton Inn Court.
 
The Javelinas are coming off a victory at Cameron University and this could be a potential first round matchup as the Rams are currently in a four way tie for second place in the Lone Star Conference and the Hogs have clinched the seventh seed in the upcoming LSC Tournament in Allen, Texas.
 
Prior to Saturday's game, the Javelinas will honor Troy Jones, Jamar Goodwin and DJ Weathers for their contributions to the men's basketball team. The trio are two-year members of the Hogs and were members of the first team under second year head coach Johnny Estelle.
 
At halftime, Javelina Nation will be honoring the 1995-96 LSC Championship team as they celebrate their 20^th anniversary.
 
Coming off a 27-point performance in the win over the Aggies, Weathers leads the club with 12.7 points per game and adds 4.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists. Jones followed with 12.6 points and is tops in rebounds with 8.0/game. Goodwin is scoring 9.4 points and picking up 5.3 rebounds per contest.
 
Angelo State leads the conference in scoring, averaging 88.2 points and 15.52 assists. The defense comes into Kingsville averaging 8.88 steals and forcing 18.1 turnovers per game. A close matchup earlier this season, ASU defeated Texas A&M-Kingsville, 74-71, to knot the all-time series up at 51 wins apiece.
 
Tre Bennett leads the Rams in scoring with 16.9 points per game and has 16 consecutive double-digit games heading into Saturday. Stedman Allen follows with 16.3 points per game and adds 5.2 rebounds.
