KINGSVILLE, Texas (Men's Basketball) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (10-12, 2-9 LSC) returns to the place where they upset #RV Texas A&M University-Commerce Wednesday when the Javelinas host No. 22/21 Midwestern State University (18-5, 7-4 LSC) at 7:30 p.m. at the Gil E. Steinke Physical Education Center.

Midwestern State can claim at least a share of the Lone Star Conference championship with wins over the Javelinas, Angelo State University and Cameron University.

The Mustangs have won the last 17 games against the Javelinas.

The Javelinas are 6-3 at home with conference home wins over Eastern New Mexico University and A&M-Commerce.
Troy Jones leads the Hogs with 12.6 points per game and 7.9 rebounds, with
DJ Weathers following with 12.1 points and 4.1 rebounds. Last time these teams met,
Jamar Goodwin scored 13 points (Jan. 20, 2016).

Midwestern State leads the Lone Star Conference in 3-point percentage during league play knocking down 40 percent of shots from beyond the arc. The Mustangs are paced by senior guard Bretson McNeal. McNeal has drained 46.9 percent of his shots from three-point range. Junior Sheldon Hagigal is shooting 41.7 percent while Brandon Golden is at 36.4 percent and Jordan Stevens is at 41 percent.
The Mustangs rank amongst national leaders in numerous categories this season ranking second in blocked shots per game (6.5), second in total blocks (143.0), fifth in field goal percentage defense (38.7), sixth in scoring margin (+15.0), ninth in defensive rebounds (29.77) and 13th in rebound margin (+7.7).
