GAME 9: Rising Hogs Looking for Fourth Straight Win Saturday

Javelinas host Eastern New Mexico tomorrow at 7 p.m.

KINGSVILLE, Texas (Football) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (5-3, 3-3 LSC) looks to continue its surge towards the top of the Lone Star Conference as the Hogs put their three-game win streak on the line against Eastern New Mexico University (5-3, 4-2 LSC) Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. at Javelina Stadium.
 
The Javelinas are 12-1 all-time versus the Greyhounds at Javelina Stadium. Saturday's slate will be Legends at Kingsville Community Appreciation Night.
 
THE GAME
  • Texas A&M-Kingsville (5-3, 3-3 LSC) vs. Eastern New Mexico (5-3, 4-2 LSC)
 
ALL-TIME SERIES
The Javelinas have dominated the all-time series, holding a 19-8 edge, but the Greyhounds have won the last four matchups versus A&M-Kingsville, including the previous battle at Javelina Stadium in 2014.
 
BACK-TO-BACK
Earlier this week, Alex Kuyinu followed Brandon Jones as Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Kuyinu shared the honors after tallying four sacks and six tackles in the 21-17 come from behind victory at Tarleton State University.
 
TALE OF TWO HALVES, REVERSED
The third quarter seemed to be the one that slipped away from the Hogs, but last week, the Javelinas dominated the second half, holding the Texans to zero points in the final 30 minutes and scoring 21 unanswered points en route to their third consecutive LSC victory.
 
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
Running the triple option on offense, the Greyhounds rank fourth in the nation in rushing, with 330.2 yards per game. Kamal Cass is at the forefront of ENMU's running game and ranks 47th in the nation with 707 yards. ENMU also ranks 26th in total offense and 27th in passing efficiency. (From ENMU SID)
 
ENMU leads the LSC in total offense and in time of possession (34:30/game- seventh in the nation).
