Steinke Physical Education Center-Kingsville Hampton Inn Court on Jan. 9 at 8 p.m.

The Texans handed No. 4/4 Angelo State University its first loss of the season, 85-57. Tarleton State has won seven consecutive road games and is led by EJ Reed, who is averaging 19.9 points on 63.6 percent shooting and 9.1 rebounds. Malcolm Hamilton scores 12.4 points per game on 53.2 percent shooting, 7.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, Charles Hill adds 13.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists and Michael Hardge records 11.6 points, 4.9 assists and 2.4 rebounds.
