WICHITA FALLS, Texas (Men's Basketball) – The Javelinas look to put a screeching halt to No. 4/2 Midwestern State University's (15-1, 4-0 LSC) 12-game win streak Wednesday when Texas A&M University-Kingsville (9-6, 1-3 LSC) invades the D.L. Ligon Coliseum on Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m.

Ranked No. 4 in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Top 25 Poll and No. 2 in the D2 Media Poll sponsored by D2SIDA, the Mustangs lone loss came at the hands of Colorado State University-Pueblo, a team the Javelinas defeated 72-69 in overtime at the Tarleton State Thanksgiving Classic on Nov. 28.

Midwestern State sits atop the Lone Star Conference as of now with a one-game lead over Tarleton State. A win on Wednesday would continue MSU's second best start in program history and the fourth time the Mustangs begin league play 5-0.

The Javelinas have wins over #RV Texas A&M International University, the Heartland Conference leader and CSU-Pueblo, along with Eastern New Mexico. The three-point field goal percentage defense (30.0 percent) ranks 18
th in NCAA Division II, the scoring defense is 22
nd (66.8 points per game) and the field goal percentage defense is 47
th (41.4).

Troy Jones (11.4 points, 6.5 rebounds).
DJ Weathers scores 11.1 points per game and dishes out 2.4 assists a contest and
Jamar Goodwin averages 10.8 points.

Midwestern State leads the all-time series 32-11 with 16 consecutive wins over the Hogs. The last time the Javelinas defeated the Mustangs was on Feb. 16, 2008 (78-63) in Kingsville.

The Mustangs rank second in DII in blocked shots per game (6.3), third in field goal percentage defense (37.4) and total blocks (101), fifth in scoring margin (+18.3), rebound margin (+9.3), seventh in defensive rebounds per game (30.5), 16
th in three-point field goal percentage (40.9), 19
th in total rebounds (699) and 30
th in scoring offense and defense. Trevor Fuller is in the top 10 in total blocks and blocked shots per game with 44 and 2.75, respectively, while Joran Stevens' 91.5 percent free throw shooting is 10
th best in the country.
