Swingman Tim Singleton Joins @JavelinaMBB

Singleton was an all-state honoree for Hillcrest High School



KINGSVILLE, Texas (Men's Basketball) –
Basketball talent runs deep in Singleton's gene pool as Tim Singleton Jr. becomes the sixth member of the 2015 Texas A&M University-Kingsville men's basketball signing class announced head coach Johnny Estelle Monday. Singleton's father, Tim Sr., lettered for the University of Notre Dame under Digger Phelps. He will have two years of eligibility.
 
Singleton spent the 2014-15 season at Odessa Junior College, tallying 3.9 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 20 games. He reached double figures twice, including a 10-point performance on 4-of-6 shooting in a win over Shooting for Greatness Prep.
 
Prior to his year in the Lone Star State, he began his collegiate career at the University of Richmond, receiving action in three games for the Spiders.
 
A Texas Association of Basketball Coaches All-State honoree as a senior for Hillcrest High School in Dallas, Singleton averaged 18.0 points, 5.0 assists and 3.0 steals in 2012-13. In 2011-12, he poured in 18.0 points to go along with 6.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds.
 
He joins JaMarkus Horace, Cris Boleware, Robert Stevenson, David Woodard and Kyre Edwards as the 2015 commits.

Richmond: Received action in three games for the University of Richmond Spiders in 2013-14… made collegiate debut in tournament bout versus Fairfield (Nov. 24)… also saw action at Air Force (Nov. 27) and against James Madison (Nov. 30).
 
High School: Earned three varsity letters for Hillcrest High School in Dallas, Texas… averaged 18.0 points, 5.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals as a senior, earning Texas Association of Basketball Coaches All-State honors… poured in 18.0 points per game to go along with 6.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds as a junior.
 
Club: Played three years for the Dallas Seawolves.
 
Personal: Full name is Timothy Singleton… born March 15… son of Timothy Sr and Melissa Singleton… father played basketball at Notre Dame for Digger Phelps… has five younger siblings: brothers Tyler, Terrell and Brandon and sisters Courtney and Brittany… aspires to play overseas… chose Texas A&M-Kingsville because of the excellent relationship with the coaching staff… admires genuine people… majoring in business marketing.
