KINGSVILLE, Texas – The three-game homestand for the Texas A&M-Kingsville women's basketball team (0-18, 0-8 LSC) comes to an end Wednesday night when they host Eastern New Mexico (6-12, 2-6 LSC) at 5:30 p.m. in the Gil H. Steinke Physical Education Center-Kingsville Hampton Inn Court. The game is not only sponsored by IBC Bank but it is also Pack the House, Greek Night and White Out game.

Entering the game, the Zias have a 34-29 lead in the all-time series after taking the first meeting 77-58 back on January 14 in Portales, New Mexico. Micah Weaver scored a team-high 18 points for the Javelinas in the contest.

Weaver leads the team with 10.8 ppg and 45.8 field goal percentage while adding 4.1 rpg and 1.6 apg. Over her past four games, Ashley Viera has averaged 12.5 ppg, 3.0 rpg and 2.3 apg. She has also seen her scoring average for the season rise nearly double.

On the boards, Lauren Jay is grabbing a team-high 6.2 rpg. Ope Ibrahim is second with 4.8 rpg while Kyra Bauer is right behind her with 4.7.

The Zias have lost two straight with their last win coming on January 17 at Angelo State by nine. In true road games, Eastern is 2-5 as their lone non-conference victory came against Florida Southern on December 18.

ENMU is led by Tori Tucker and her 12.7 ppg and 31 made three-pointers. Sarah Stinnett is the only other player averaging double-figures at 11.9 ppg.

Two threats from long-range are the Cooper twins. Jordyn Cooper has nailed 28 treys this season while Jaylyn Cooper comes into Wednesday having made 22 of her 32 made field goals from downtown.

Despite coming off the bench the last 12 games, Jasmine Johnson is retrieving 6.4 rpg. Dishing out a team best 3.0 apg is Cassidy Dougherty, who made her first start of the season on Saturday against West Texas A&M.

Live stats and video will be available for the game with links available on the women's basketball schedule page.
