SAN ANGELO, Texas (Men's Basketball) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (8-17, 3-10 LSC) closes out the regular season at No. 15/13 Angelo State University (23-4, 10-3 LSC) on Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. at the Junell Center.

The Rams are coming off back-to-back losses for the first time this season after Cameron University and A&M-Commerce upset Angelo State on Feb. 21 and Feb. 25, respectively. The Javelinas did not have a midweek bout and fell to #RV Midwestern State University (20-7, 9-4 LSC) on Feb. 21.

Angelo State currently holds the No. 2 spot in the loaded Lone Star Conference. In fact, if the LSC playoffs were to begin tomorrow, the Javelinas and the Rams would meet in the first round.

Last Time they MetThen ranked No. 8/7, Angelo State extended its win streak to 14 games as the nation's highest shooting team shot 52 percent from the floor to defeat the shorthanded Texas A&M University-Kingsville Javelinas, 85-67, on Jan. 31.

All-Time SeriesDespite its loss earlier this season, the Javelinas lead the all-time series 51-49.

Scouting the Rams- ASU is No. 1 in the country in field goal percentage as the Rams connect on 53.4 percent of their shots.
- Angelo State is also in the top five in scoring margin (first, +24.1), field goal percentage defense (fourth, 38.7) and assist to turnover ratio (fifth, 1.54).
- Demario Mayfield leads the team in several categories as the guard is averaging 15.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.4 steals. Before Wednesday's loss to the Lions, Mayfield reached double figures in 18 consecutive contests.
- Chris Jones is shooting an astonishing 60 percent from the floor, among the nation's best field goal percentages by a guard. Jones also chips in 15.3 points/contest, 5.0 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 2.4 steals, a team-high.
- Marsell Holden and Raijon Kelly also average double figures at 14.2 and 10.3, respectively.
