KINGSVILLE, Texas (Men's Basketball) – The second game in three nights for the Javelinas is set for 8 p.m. on Feb. 14 as Texas A&M University-Kingsville (7-15, 2-8 LSC) host No. 11/14 Tarleton State University (21-2, 8-2 LSC) on CHRISTUS Spohn Night at the Gil H. Steinke Physical Education Center-Kingsville Hampton Inn Court.
The Javelinas are coming off an 83-74 loss to A&M-Commerce (17-6, 7-4 LSC). In the loss,
Jamar Goodwin finished with 17 points, 12 coming from three-point range, four steals, four rebounds, three assists and a blocked shot. TAMUK was hot in the first half, shooting 52 percent from the floor and 64 percent from behind-the-arc, but the shooting cooled in the second half, allowing the Lions to rally from behind and down the Hogs.
TSU is in the midst of an eight-game win streak and is coming off an upset win over No. 4/4 Angelo State University (21-2, 9-1 LSC), 72-68, on Wednesday.
