SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Men's Basketball) – The 2-0 Texas A&M University-Kingsville men's basketball team hits the road for the first time in 2015-16 as the Javelinas take the short trip to San Antonio to face South Central Regional foe St. Mary's University (1-1) on Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m. inside the Bill Greehey Arena.

A close weekend, the Javelinas were able to come out with two crucial regional victories by a combined margin of five after upending Texas-Permian Basin, 79-77, in overtime, and 56-53 win over Texas A&M International a day later.
In the season opening win, Texas A&M-Kingsville collected 57 rebounds – 18 offensive – and followed with nine offensive boards Sunday, none bigger than
Cris Boleware's with less than a minute remaining that set up the game-winning three-point shot by
Jamar Goodwin. Saturday's hero
Marcus Frazier tallied 10 points and five assists in his Javelina debut and was one of five Hogs to reach double figures. Goodwin finished with 11 points, 12 rebounds (four offensive) and three assists.
DJ Weathers finished with a team-high 14 points, seven rebounds and two dimes,
Troy Jones added 13 and
Trey Sumpter went 4-of-7 with 12 points and nine rebounds.
In the win over the Dustdevils, Weathers scored 18 points, 10 in the first half. Goodwin added two blocks and two steals.
Against St. Mary's, the Javelinas are 50-59 after splitting last season's meetings. In San Antonio on Dec. 2, 2014, Jones posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds but the Rattlers were able to secure the victory, 60-55.
The Rattlers are 1-1 in 2015-16 and are led by Kriston Minor's 16.0 points and 6.5 rebounds. Isaiah Parros is averaging 11.5 points, 5.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 5.0 steals in two games. Versus No. 10 Colorado Mines, StMU nearly rallied from behind before defeating Regis 67-64.
Up NextFollowing Wednesday's contest, Texas A&M-Kingsville heads to Edinburg for an exhibition bout versus the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley on Nov. 19. The Vaqueros are an NCAA Division I program and the 7 p.m. tipoff and the game will be televised regionally on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel 323.
