KINGSVILLE, Texas (Men's Basketball) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (4-7) looks to begin the 2015 opener with a bang when the Javelinas host Schreiner University (7-3) on Saturday, Jan. 3 at 3 p.m. at Gil H. Steinke Physical Education Center-Kingsville Hampton Inn Court.

The Hogs closed off the 2014 slate 4-7 overall after back-to-back losses to the University of Tampa (advanced to the NCAA South Regionals last season) and nationally-ranked Our Lady of the Lake University.

Live stats and video will be available for the matinee tip.

In last season's nonconference tilt in Kerrville (Dec. 14), Jordan Jahr finished with a career-high 24 points on 6-of-9 shooting and went 9-for-9 from the free throw line to lead Texas A&M-Kingsville to a 79-67 victory over the Mountaineers. Jahr added eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks in the win.

At First Glance
Despite the all-time series being tied at 22-22, TAMUK rides a seven-game win streak on Saturday. In fact, the Javelinas have not dropped a contest to Schreiner since the 1946-47 season.
