KINGSVILLE, Texas – With three games remaining in the regular season, the Texas A&M-Kingsville women's basketball team travels to Cameron Wednesday to face the Aggies in a crucial contest for the final spots in the upcoming LSC Championship in Allen.

The Javelina women enter the week with a 4-9 Lone Star Conference record and have a 9-14 overall mark. Kingsville is currently seventh in the standings with the top eight advancing. The Hoggies are a half game behind Eastern New Mexico and a half game ahead of Texas A&M-Commerce. Cameron is currently ninth in the conference and is a full-game behind Kingsville at 3-10 in the LSC and 11-12 overall meaning a win by Kingsville would push them two games ahead of the Aggies.

Lindsey Mahone was nearly unstoppable last week for the Javelinas and is the team's top scorer and rebounder at 13.5 points and 7.3 rebounds. The junior averaged a double-double in three outings last week with 19.7 points and 11 rebounds. She added 3.0 assists and 1.7 steals a game. Of her 33 rebounds on the week, 29 came on the defensive glass.

Lauren Jay continued her solid play last week averaging 15 points for the week. She is averaging 8.9 points a contest in league play. Jay has 10-or-more points in Kingsville's last six games including a career-best 20 against TWU.

Jazzmine Robinson leads the Aggies with 12.0 points a game, while three others are scoring over nine a game. Christina Caddy leads Cameron with 6.7 rebounds and is one of four Aggies with at least six a game.
Kingsville won the first meeting between the two sides 60-48 scoring with 30 points off turnovers. The Javelinas forced 14 turnovers and won the rebounding war 44-39.
