KINGSVILLE, Texas (Volleyball) – Playing in their final home game as members of the Javelina volleyball team, Ashley Tipps posted 10 blocks – four solo – and eight kills, Stephanie Johns added 12 kills and six blocks, Kelsey Washington registered 12 kills, 22 digs and three blocks and Sarah Fountain recorded 19 assists and nine digs. Despite leading after two sets, Texas A&M University-Kingsville (18-12, 7-9 LSC) fell victim to Cameron University's (13-14, 5-11 LSC) rally as the Aggies earned the season sweep with a five set victory on Saturday afternoon at the Gil H. Steinke Physical Education Center-Kingsville Hampton Inn Court.

Ashley Bukowski led the Javelinas with 16 kills and .519 hitting percentage. Freshmen continued to play well as Krystal Faison registered another double-double with 13 kills and 14 digs to go with her three blocks, Casey Klobedans recorded 37 assists and Brett Zaccardo finished with 23 digs.

Early on in the match, TAMUK looked to have the match in the bag after taking set one by a score of 25-19 and the second set, 25-21.

In the third set, CU took control and even went to set point at the 24-19 before the Javelinas rattled off five straight points to tie the set at 24-24. However, the Aggies capitalized on errors by TAMUK to take the third set, 27-25. Cameron led for most of the fourth set and forced a decisive fifth set after earning the fourth set victory, 25-21.

The Blue and Gold held a 11-6 lead in the final set, but the Aggies rallied once again to tie the set at 13 all. Tied at 14 seconds later, CU capped off the comeback with a 16-14 win.

The Javelinas close out the 2014 regular season 18-12 overall and 7-9 in LSC play. As the No. 5 seed in the upcoming LSC Championships, the Hogs will face Tarleton State University (20-7, 10-6 LSC) next week in the first round of the 2014 LSC Championships at Canyon, Texas.
