WICHITA FALLS, Texas (Volleyball) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (11-5, 4-4 LSC) registered 74 team kills and 90 digs to defeat Midwestern State University (5-12, 1-6 LSC) in five sets, 20-25, 25-16, 31-29, 25-27, 15-11, on Saturday afternoon at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.

Ashley Bukowski finished with a season-high 20 kills and added 11 digs and three assisted blocks,
Kelsey Washington  posted 15 kills, 22 digs and two assisted blocks and
Casey Klobedans was five assists away from the single game record as the freshman recorded 61 assists and added eight digs and seven kills on 12 attempts.
Shaquinn Parker finished with 15 kills, six total blocks and a game-high .394 attack percentage.

After falling in the first set, 25-20, the Javelinas bounced back and dominated set two, 25-16, to tie the match at 1-1 behind Bukowski's and Parker's 10 combined kills.
Krystal Faison added six of her 22 digs in the set.

Trading points back and forth, Kingsville registered 21 kills and took a 24-21 lead before a Mustangs rally tied the third set at 24.
Karly Huebel's service ace clinced the victory and gave the Javelinas a 2-1 edge.

Trailing 24-23 in the fourth set, Parker's kill tied the match at 24, but the Mustangs rode a 3-1 rally to force a decisive fifth set.

TAMUK salvaged the match, earning the fifth set victory 15-11 to improve to .500 in Lone Star Conference play. With the victory, the Javelinas are now 2-0 in five-set matches in 2014.

The Hogs return to Kingsville to host Our Lady of the Lake on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. inside the Gil H. Steinke Physical Education Center-Kingsville Hampton Inn Court. The nonconference match is the annual Dig Pink Night sponsored by CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Kleberg.
