LAWTON, Okla. (Volleyball) – Cameron University (7-7, 2-5 LSC) registered 43 kills and 63 digs to put a screeching halt to a three-game losing skid against Texas A&M University-Kingsville (10-5, 3-4 LSC), 25-21, 25-20, 25-16, on Friday evening inside the Aggie Gymnasium.

With the victory, the Aggies improved to 20-8 all-time against the Javelinas and earned their first victory versus TAMUK since Sept. 21, 2012.

Kingsville continued to block at will as the Lone Star Conference's top blocking team recorded 10.0 total team blocks.
Ashley Tipps swatted five attacks,
Ashley Bukowski added eight kills and four blocks and
Krystal Faison finished with nine kills, 13 digs and a .346 hitting percentage. Defensively, the reigning LSC Defender of the Week
Brett Zaccardo registered a game-high 20 digs and
Kelsey Washington and
Stephanie Johns added three blocks apiece.

The Javelinas threatened in the opening set, taking a 20-19 lead after a Bukowski kill. However, Cameron went on a 6-1 run to end the first set with a 25-21 victory.

In set two, the Javelinas got ahead by at least four points twice, before a kill by Cameron tied the score at 14-14 and led to a TAMUK timeout. From there, CU battled and ultimately closed out set two with a 25-20 win.

A rally in the third set clinched the victory for the Aggies, 25-16. Kat Evans and Cristina Viera registered double-doubles for CU and Ingrid Boatman finished with a game-high 26 assists.
