KINGSVILLE, Texas (Volleyball) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (14-8, 5-5 LSC) looks for revenge against two Lone Star Conference opponents this weekend as the Javelinas host Tarleton State University (18-5, 8-4 LSC) on Friday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. and Angelo State University (14-5, 8-4 LSC) on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. at the Gil H. Steinke Physical Education Center-Kingsville Hampton Inn Court.
 
The Texanns defeated the Hogs in a close match on Sept. 19, 25-19, 25-22, 29-27. Against TSU, Ashley Tipps posted five blocks and Ashley Bukowski added three. The following day, the Hogs threatened to end Angelo State's then seven-match win streak but the Belles squeaked past the Javelinas, 25-22, 26-24, 25-21. Against ASU, a team that received, 83 votes in that week's American Volleyball Coaches Association Top-25 Poll, TAMUK posted 12.0 team blocks and 60 digs.
 
Stephanie Johns led all players with seven blocks, Kelsey Washington added five assisted blocks and Casey Klobedans recorded her second double-double of the season with 29 assists and 13 digs.
 
Last Time Out
A dominating start featured Texas A&M University-Kingsville (14-8) hit .424 and earn an opening set victory 25-18. The Javelinas carried their momentum to a four-set, season sweep over St. Mary's University (8-11) on Tuesday evening at the Bill Greehey Arena.
 
The Blue and Gold continued to block at will, finishing with 10.0 team blocks en route to a 25-18, 22-25, 25-22, 32-30, win. Johns led all Javelina players with six blocks and Klobedans and Washington each posted three. Washington and freshman Krystal Faison recorded double-doubles with 15 kills and 18 digs and 11 kills and 22 digs, respectively. Johns added 10 kills, Bukowski tied Washington with a team-high 15 kills, Klobedans led all players with 54 assists and Brett Zaccardo paced the club with 27 digs. Klobedans and Zaccardo each added two service aces.
