Box Score WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The Texas A&M-Kingsville volleyball team opened its final weekend of the regular season at Midwestern State on Thursday dropping a 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-19) decision to the Mustangs at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.
The loss was the sixth straight for the Javelinas, who are now 14-18 on the season and 5-10 in the Lone Star Conference. Kingsville closes out the regular season on Saturday at Cameron, which is 0-15 in the LSC to start the weekend. The Hoggies are currently the seventh seed in next week's LSC Tournament to be held at West Texas A&M.
The Javelinas were unable to get going offensively hitting a -.052 – a season low. It was the first time since the 2006 season that Kingsville offense hit below .000.
Dedra Brown led the Javelinas with eight kills. Kesley Washington had four and is now just 19 kills away from the 1,000-kill mark in her career.
Caitlin Wallace led the Mustangs with nine kills as they hit .198.
