
SAN ANGELO, TEXAS – The Texas A&M-Kingsville softball team closed out their season on Saturday afternoon with a 13-1 loss at #15 Angelo State in Lone Star Conference action.
The Belles (42-8, 23-4) sent 12 batters to the plate in a 7-run third inning and they were never challenged by the Javelinas (17-33, 5-22).
Claire Molina picked up the win after allowing one hit, one run and one walk in 4.1 innings while striking out five. Every player in the starting lineup for Angelo State scored at least one run. April Breshears went 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI’s to lead the offensive attack.
The Javelinas were limited to one hit in their final contest of the season. Kodie Garner (Garland/Garland HS) was 1-for-2 with an RBI.
