
STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS – The Texas A&M-Kingsville volleyball saw their four-match winning streak snapped on Thursday night at Lone Star Conference rival Tarleton State 25-17, 25-15, 25-19.
The Javelinas (8-7, 4-7) struggled all night long on the attack posting only a .034 attack percentage. Kelsey Washington (Cuero/Cuero HS) led the team with 11 kills while Sondra Cui (Schertz/Steele HS) had 19 assists. Ali Insell (The Woodlands/The Woodlands HS) led the defense with 12 digs.
The Texanns (12-8, 7-2) controlled the net with a .250 attack percentage and 9.0 total blocks. Flynn Harrell led all players with 15 kills and a .429 attack percentage. Nikki McNorton added six kills and nine blocks while Jessie Hartman and Danielle Barker split 29 assists. Emily Klein picked up a team high 12 digs.
The Javelinas are back in action on Saturday with a tripleheader in New Orleans. They play Huston-Tillotson, Missouri Baptist and Loyola University-New Orleans all on the same day.
