
 KINGSVILLE---The Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas had a .269 attack percentage as it swept the East Central Tigers, 3-0, in a Lone Star Conference volleyball match here Saturday afternoon in the Steinke Physical Education Center. (

The Javelinas took the sets, 25-22, 25-16, 25-19, to move to 4-3 in the LSC standings and 8-9 for the year.
Jess Morris, junior outside hitter, had nine kills without an error to lead the Javelinas offensively. She had a .500 attack percentage.
Freshman middle blocker Brittany Friesenhahn had 10 kills and a .368 attack percentage.
Amanda Yeager, senior setter, led the team in sets with 27 and senior libero Virginia Hernandez had 14 digs to top the statistics in that category.
Lauryn Lozano, freshman outside hitter, was the Javelinas’ leading scorer with 10.5 points and Friesenhahn had 10.
East Central fell to 3-18 for the year and 1-5 in the LSC.
The Javelinas will remain at home Tuesday to host St. Edward’s in a non-league match.
The Javs return to conference play Thursday when it meets Tarleton State in Stephenville.
