Hoggies Drop Season Finale

  SAN ANGELO, TEXAS – The Texas A&M-Kingsville volleyball team dropped their season finale at Lone Star Conference rival Angelo State on Saturday afternoon 25-14, 25-17, 25-21.

The Javelinas (17-12, 6-7) were led by middle blockers Kristin Chancellor (Bellville/Bellville HS) and Amanda Waclawczyk (Poth/Poth HS).  Chancellor had six kills, four blocks and a .308 attack while Waclawczyk had five kills, two blocks and a .364 attack.  Tara Grier (Poth/Poth HS) added a team high eight kills, eight assists and 10 digs.  Kirby Krueger (New Braunfels/Canyon HS) led the team with 16 assists while Virginia Hernandez (Katy/Katy HS) led the squad with 12 digs.

The Rambelles (18-13, 10-3) were led by Katie Coleman who had 12 kills, five blocks and a .550 attack.  Caroline Cleveland added 10 kills and eight digs.  Alex Woolsey and Alex Allard combined for 39 assists.  Kimber Duncan led the team with 18 digs.  The ‘Belles had 43 kills and a .229 attack in the match.

The Javelinas will play next at the LSC Championships hosted by West Texas A&M.  They will play Thursday against an opponent and time to be determined.
