Canyon -- Courtney Rigamonti (Victoria St. Joseph's) pitched her third consecutive conference shutout as the Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas earned a split with West Texas A&M. Click here for game one box. Click here for game two box.
  The Javelinas won game one 2-0, but dropped game two 9-0.
  A&M-Kingsville is now 11-12 overall and 4-1 in Lone Star Conference play.
  Rigamonti allowed nine hits, but struck out seven walked none, and stranded eight Lady Buff base runners to improve to 7-8 on the season.
  The game was scoreless until the top of the sixth when Ma-Lia Guerra (Falfurrias) led off the inning with a single, Cassie Anderson followed with a single and after two outs, Shaun Bryan had an infield single to load the bases. Julia Canales (H.M. King) then came through with a two-run single up the middle on a 3-1 pitch to give Rigamonti all the runs she needed.
  Canales also threw out a West Texas A&M runner trying to steal third to end the first inning and Rigamonti struck out a hitter with a runner at third and two outs to end the fifth.
  In the nightcap, the Javelinas made four errors, allowed four unearned runs and could manage only three singles.
  The three-game series will wrap-up Sunday with a single game at 1:00 p.m.
