The Javelinas are now 12-15 on the season and 5-3 in the LSC South.
The Wildcats improved to 16-11 overall and remained undefeated in division play at 5-0.
Cassie Anderson went four-for-seven on the day with three RBI for A&M-Kingsville while Jasmine Ross went four-for-six.

In the bottom of the inning, Javelina leadoff hitter Meisha Patterson returned the favor to even the game at 1-1. She reached on an error and reached second on an Anderson single through the left side. After reaching third base on a passed ball, she came home on a wild pitch.
The Wildcats took the lead back in the top of the fourth when Katie Cornelison lead off the inning with a double to center field and came home on a Kim Partin right field single to put Abilene Christian up 2-1.

The Javelinas left two runners on base in the fourth, fifth and seventh innings.
"We finally started hitting the ball a bit but we didn’t want to hit with runners in scoring position," head coach Blake Miller said. "We started to get defensive instead of aggressive. As long as we stay offensive we’re a great team. If you get passive, you’re going to get beat."
In game two, Jessika Cantu pitched four innings, giving up six runs, walking one and striking out two for the Javelinas. The loss evened her record at 4-4.
Kim White got the win for Abilene Christian going five innings, giving up three runs with a strikeout. She went to 7-3 on the year.

Abilene Christian then put up five runs in the fourth inning to go up 6-0. Shiery led the inning off with a home run to right field. The next four runs all came with two outs. A bases loaded walk to pinch hitter Jessica Johnson put the Wildcats up 3-0 and a Johnson double to left field cleared the bases to bring in three more runs.
"We let them have chances with two outs," Miller said. "If we make a play we’re out of the inning. We gave them chances and they took advantage of it. That’s the way it goes."
The Javelinas got on the board in the bottom of the inning with a Rigamonti sacrifice fly to left field that brought in Shaun Bryan.
The Javelinas cut the lead in half, 6-3, in the bottom of the fifth with two more runs. Both runs came on a two-outs Anderson single that scored Patterson and Ross.
