San Antonio – The Javelina softball team could not manage a run and had only seven hits in dropping a pair of games to Incarnate Word, 2-0 and 4-0.

   Shaun Bryan was the only Javelina to have more than one hit in the doubleheader as she went 2-for-6.

   Courtney Rigamonti (Victoria St. Joseph’s) went the distance in game one, allowing only one earned run on eight hits, but took the loss. She gave up a run in each of the first two innings and then shutout the Cardinal the rest of the way.

   Jessika Cantu (Tuloso-Midway) pitched a complete game six-hitter in the nightcap and allowed just two earned runs, but got no run support.

   The Javelinas are now 5-4 on the season, are in the midst of a 14-game roadtrip and play at Midwestern State Saturday.
