Edmond, Okla. - Lone Star Conference North Division power Central Oklahoma took it to the Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas, sweeping them in a doubleheader 17-1 and 10-2 Friday afternoon.
The Javelinas dropped to 12-8 while the Bronchos improved to 12-5-1.
The Javelinas came into this week's action with the fourth best team earned run average in the LSC, but gave up 27 runs and 29 hits in 12 innings Friday. Brandon Hevner and Raul Trevino took the losses for the Javelinas.
Offensively the Hogs had just 8 hits in the double header, 3 of those by Chase Myrick. Myrick doubled, hit a home run and drove in 2 of the Javelinas' 3 runs. A&M-Kingsville will look to even the 4-game series in a Saturday afternoon doubleheader against the Bronchos.
