The Texas A&M-Kingsville volleyball team lost in three games at nationally ranked West Texas A&M Saturday.
The 23rd ranked Lady Buffs beat the Javelinas 30-20, 30-19, 30-21 to win their 21st consecutive match and 15th straight home match to improve to 26-3 overall and 8-0 in the Lone Star Conference. The Javelinas fell to 7-19 and 3-6.
Freshmen Adina Gray (Corpus Christi Flour Bluff) and Chelsea Zunker (New Baunfels Canyon) led the Javelinas with six kills apiece. Junior Heidi Scheopner (Harlingen South) led the Javelinas with 15 assists and freshman Tara Grier (Poth) had 18 digs.
The Javelinas return to action Monday as they host St. Edward’s in their final home match of the season.
