Payne, for the women’s basketball program, turned in an all-around look in the final exhibition match of the year against UTRGV on November 26 when she put away nine points, three rebounds, five assists, three steals and one block in the loss.

On the year, Payne is averaging eight points and 5.8 rebounds through four official games. She is hitting 40.6% of her shots, including a 44.4% clip from beyond the arc, and leads the team with 16 assists and eight steals.
