Dr. Nirmal Goswami joined the Texas A&M-Kingsville athletic staff as an assistant coach in 2011-12 and begins his fourth year as a coach on the Javelina tennis program. Dr. Goswami is a professor of political science at the university. In addition to teaching and research, he directs multiple academic initiatives for the University in Africa, Asia, and the South Pacific.
Dr. Goswami is a life-long tennis enthusiast. He was the singles champion of his home state (Assam) in India; he also played collegiate level tennis in India. Dr. Goswami assists the head coach with global recruitment, coaching, and academic support.
