Mason Anderson is in his second year with Texas A&M Kingsville University as the Director of Athletic Communications for Javelina Athletics after spending five years at Sam Houston State University.
Anderson is a graduate of Sam Houston, receiving his master’s degree in digital media production and his bachelor’s degree in mass communications with a focus in broadcast production/journalism.
In this position, Anderson oversees all of athletics media. Which includes, but is not limited to, press releases, social media, digital streams, official statistics among other media related duties. Anderson also serves as a voter for the South-Central region rankings in Men's Basketball.
A native of Katy Texas, Anderson began his time in athletics media with Sam Houston, working under Ben Rikard and Cody Stark as a student assistant in 2019 before becoming the department's first graduate assistant in 2021.
In his time with the Bearkats, Anderson has worked with a number of NFL players, NBA prospects, and MLB pros. He watched Bearkat athletics reach new heights, claiming the 2020 FCS Football National Championship, nine conference titles, six player of the year recipients and numerous all-conference selections.
Anderson currently resides in Kingsville.
