High School: Earned two varsity letters for the Amarillo High School Sandies… as a junior, recovered two fumbles and registered 41 tackles… in 2015, he tallied 58 tackles, two quarterback hurries, four tackles for a loss, one forced fumble, four sacks and a touchdown… team earned 2013 4A Bi-District and Area Championships and 2014 6A Bi-District title… as a senior, he was selected first team all-district outside linebacker, academic all-state honorable mention and the winner of the Mike Dewlen Award for courage, leadership, pride, enthusiasm and citizenship… also participated on the track and field squad.
 
Personal: Full name is Nicholas Bowerman… son of T.J. Bowerman and Susan Buchanan… born Oct. 20… has an older brother Zak and older sister Lauren… chose Texas A&M-Kingsville because of the opportunity to play football at the next level… admires anyone who is honest, loyal, dependable and respectable because those are important qualities in a man… intends to major in engineering.
