Biography

2016: Appeared in 10 games…part of an offensive line group that paved the way for 2163 yards rushing and 23 touchdowns on the ground…team-high 267 yards along with three touchdowns against West Texas A&M on October 8…also paved the way for 219 yards and four touchdowns on the ground against UT Permian Basin on October 15…five games with over 200 yards rushing and seven games with multiple rushing touchdowns…group also anchored the offense for 2802 yards and 32 touchdowns through the air…team-high 376 yards to go with three touchdowns against A&M-Commerce on September 24…two games with four passing touchdowns, first against Simon Fraser on September 10 and second against UT Permian Basin on October 15…three games with 300 yards passing and 10 games with multiple passing touchdowns

2015 (Fr.): Appeared and started in ten games for the Javelinas…

High School: Earned four total varsity letters as a member of the football and track and field teams at Katy High School… was a two-year starter for the Tigers, a seven-time Texas state champion… blocked for all-state running back Rodney Anderson, who rushed for 4,395 yards in final two season… member of three state finalist teams, one championship program and two runner-ups… team earned two district titles as well… second team All-Greater Houston, first team all-district, first team academic all-state and academic all-district in 2014 and 2013 academic all-district… competed in the shot put for the track and field team.
 
Personal: Son of Chuck and Janie Spies… has an older brother, Jacob… hopes to explore the computer science side of electrical engineering with a solid company after graduation… chose Texas A&M-Kingsville because they have a very respectable engineering program and Coach Jaime Martinez (recruiting coach) and I hit it off really well when I came for my official visit... I did a paper on Audie Murphy in my younger years and I have always admired him for his courage and strength and for what he did for our country… electrical engineering major.
