High School: Spent two seasons at Jack C. Hays High School in Buda, Texas after spending two years at Hyde Park High School… lettered in football, basketball and powerlifting… on the gridiron, he ran for 1,036 yards on the ground and found the end zone 15 times… all-state honorable mention running back… academic all-state… first team all-district.
 
Personal: Son of John and Tysha Effiom… born March 6… has two sisters, Jasymnn and Natalie and a brother, John… wants to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist… chose TAMUK because he is honored to play for a historic team… admires himself because he came a long way and never gave up on his dream to play college football… intends to major in nursing.
