Fort Hays State: Did not receive action in his lone season at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kan.
 
High School: Successfully connected on 71-of-72 extra-point attempts and four field goals in two seasons as a senior at Amarillo High School… as a junior, hit 76 extra-pointers… all-state honorable mention… all-area team, AGN All-Media team and second team all-district… also competed on the soccer team.
 
Personal: Son of Danny and Heather Cathey… born April 15… has a younger sister, Chandler, and older sister, Blake… wants to own his own business… chose Texas A&M-Kingsville because of the opportunities offered by the university… sports business major.
