Oubre joined the Javelina football staff ahead of the 2021 fall season.
Oubre comes to Kingsville after a year as the Offensive Line Quality Control coach at the University of Louisiana-Monroe. While at ULM he assisted in coaching the offensive line, managed the scout team and was responsible for assembling practice plans and scripts.
Prior to his time at ULM, Oubre spent two seasons as the Offensive Line Quality Control coach at Lamar University. While at Lamar, he assisted in coaching the offensive line, managed the scout team, assembled practice scripts, assisted in recruiting the South Texas and DFW areas along with the Southern California Junior Colleges as the LU offense averaged 241.8 rushing yards per game in 2018.
Oubre’s playing career spanned both his time at ULM and Lamar. He started his career with the Warhawks appearing in six games as a redshirt freshman before he transferred to Lamar and started 26 games on the offensive line en route to a team captain selection and an All-WAC honorable mention selection as a senior in 2017.
Oubre graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Lamar in 2016 and finished his master’s degree in May 2020.
