Texas A&M - Kingsville Athletics

Coach Mackey joined the Javelina football coaching staff in January of 2023 as a graduate assistant.  

Mackey, joined the coaching staff after two seasons as a wide receiver for the Hogs playing in 12 total games in his Javelina career including being a member of 2022 team in a season where the Javelinas went 7-5 on the season reaching a ranking as high as No. 15 at one point in the AFCA Division II Coaches’ Poll ending with a postseason bowl bid to the FunTown RV Heritage Bowl in Corsicana, Texas. 

Mackey graduated from TAMUK in December of 2022 with a bachelor’s in general studies and is currently pursuing a master's degree in educational leadership.
