Coach Jaxson Money joined the Javelina coaching staff in March of 2022 as the running backs coach for the 2022 season before becoming the wide receivers coach in 2023.Â
In the 2022 season with the Javelinas, Money helped the Javelinas to their best season in over a decade going 7-5 on the season reaching a ranking No. 15 at one point in the AFCA Division II Coaches’ Poll ending with a postseason bowl bid to the FunTown RV Heritage Bowl in Corsicana, Texas.Â
As the running backs coach, TAMUK rushed for 1,963 yards and 19 touchdowns on 383 attempts as running backs Christian Anderson and Toneil Carter both rushed for over 800 yards and earned All-Lone Star Conference honors.Â
Carter also led the conference in 2022 in yards per carry averaging 5.9 yards per rush.Â
Before coming to Kingsville, Money started his coaching career at Hardin-Simmons as a wide receiver and special teams graduate assistant in 2020 before advancing to the running backs coach and head graduate assistant for the 2021 season.Â
In that 2021 season, Money helped coach the Cowboys to a 9-1 record, rushing for 1,661 yards and 17 touchdowns on 269 attempts led by the American Southwest Conference leader in yards per carry, Myles Featherston.Â
Additionally, under Money’s coaching, three Cowboys rushed for 500 or more yards with two selected as second team All-ASC.Â
A native of Abilene, Texas, coach Money currently lives in Kingsville holding a bachelor’s and MBA from Hardin-Simmons.Â
