2015: Appeared in nine games...tallied five tackles, three against West Alabama (9/26)...3-yard sack against the Tigers...finished the season with a quarterback hit in win at Tarleton State (11/4) and a tackled at West Texas A&M (11/14)

2014 (Sr.): Grayshirted season, serving on scout team.
 
HBU: Transferred to Houston Baptist University and played one season, appearing in seven games… tallied 12 tackles as an outside linebacker.
 
PVAMU: Played two seasons at Prairie View A&M University, primarily on special teams… recorded 12 tackles… joined the team as a walk-on in 2010, redshirting the season… appeared in three games at strong safety in 2011, followed by eight games in 2012, primarily on special teams.
 
High School: Earned three letters for Sharpstown High School in Houston, Texas… finished with 59 tackles as a junior and 72 as a senior… returned four interceptions for a touchdown… also lettered on the track and field team for the Apollos.
 
Personal: Goes by Verno… son of Vernon Kelly and Anna Chevis… born Feb. 2… brother Reggie plays football at Texas A&M… five sisters – Sebreyah, Angelica, Terrelle, Thecla and Tynejah… chose Texas A&M-Kingsville because he fell in love with the campus and people… aspires to coach and teach… majoring in history, political science and philosophy.
