2014: Appeared in nine games... finished with 14 solo tackles and 26 assisted tackles on the season... collected four or more total tackles in six games... recorded 0.5 tackles for loss and a 0.5 sack in win against Colorado Mesa (Sept. 13)... season-high nine total tackles and two quarterback hurries versus Tarleton State (Oct. 11).

2013: Appeared in nine games, collecting 18 total tackles… three solo tackles and four overall versus McMurry (Sept. 21)… five tackles against Texas A&M-Commerce (Oct. 12)… ended the season with five tackles in the final two games, including three against defending NCAA Division II Champion Valdosta State (oNov. 16).
 
2012: Played in 11 contests for the second-straight season… key member of the special teams and reserve linebackers core… tallied six tackles and tied his career-high with two tackles against Midwestern State (Sept. 22)… recovered a fumble versus Angelo State (Oct. 27).
 
2011: Appeared in all 11 games on special teams and as a backup linebacker… registered two tackles against Abilene Christian (Nov. 5).
 
2010: Redshirted his first year at Texas A&M-Kingsville.
 
High School: Earned second team All-Victoria Advocate and First Team TAPPS Division II All-District 3 honors at St. Joseph’s High School as a senior… named to TAPPS Division II All-State team after rushing for 1,353 yards and 15 TDs… led St. Joseph’s to three playoff appearances including a semifinal appearance in 2007.
 
Personal: Son of Romeo and Blanche Ruelas… kinesiology major… older brother, Winston, played collegiate football at Texas State University.
