In 2012: Last season, Taylor started all 26 games along with teammate Rashad Basey...He averaged 6.6 points a game, 1.8 rpg, and 1.8 apg...Known as the team’s defensive stopper Taylor had 22 steals and eight blocks and routinely covered the opponent’s biggest threat...He scored in 25 of 26 games with eight double-digit performances scoring a career-best 13 points at home against Tarleton State. Taylor connected on 28-of-70 3-point shots for a 40% clip while hitting 46.5 from the field for 48/5

Previous: Taylor was a first team all-conference selection at Lee College and averaged 18 points per game during his sophomore season...He signed with Stephen F. Austin out of high school, but never played for them...Instead, Taylor spent several years in the U.S. Armed Forces.

High School: Taylor is from Angleton, Texas, where he played at Angleton High School...As a senior, he averaged 28.2 points, seven rebounds and 5.6 assists per game en route to earning first team all-state honors...As a junior he earned Class 4A Honorable Mention All-State honors. Taylor also competed in high school track.

Personal: Taylor is the son of Robert and Barbara Taylor...He has a brother Robert and a sister Sherrie...He is studying business.
